Director of US SaaS Sales – Resilient Industry and Growing Market In Spite of The Current Momentum

Scytl improves electoral processes, citizen participation and corporate governance which are the pillars of any democratic organization.

The ideal candidate will be a combination of a strong sales team leader as well as a quota bearing sales executive.  The team will focus on the sales of election modernization software solutions within the US as well as additional solutions to state and local governments.  The ideal candidate will also have experience with new product launch and market segmentation identification and launch.

Working with an extended existing support team of Pre-sales (solutions architects) and regional portfolio directors in the region, this position will report simultaneously to the General Manager of the US Division and the Global Senior VP of Sales. This is a predominantly autonomous and challenging role that requires the right candidate to show leadership, ownership, enthusiasm, professionalism and an entrepreneurial spirit towards business. This is a role which requires frequent travel within the region.

The role would suit someone who is currently in a commercial role, leading a team of professionals selling software solutions/services into the US market place in the public and private sector. Knowledge and understanding of the sales cycle/process of procurement in state and local government within the region will be key to succeed in this role.

The successful candidate will have significant experience is building, growing, and managing a team. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and execution of the regional strategy sales plan for both existing and new products.
  • Hire/fire/ coach a team of sales professionals including outbound prospectors and senior level sales team members
  • Attend customer sites and regional events to promote the products/services.
  • Gather market knowledge and work with key stakeholders to maximize conversion of opportunities.
  • Secure and close deals through partners, where necessary to gain business.
  • Effectively manage a team and individual pipeline to ensure proper forecasting
  • Report regularly on sales pipeline and current opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven commercial ability in the public sector (regional and state government level).
  • First-hand knowledge selling Software solutions and services, preferably mission critical ones.
  • Eagerness to learn as well as a strong winning attitude.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels externally (users to c-level) and internally.
  • Experience working in diverse teams as well as team management skills is required.
  • Availability to travel at short notice.
